The property was very nicely renovated. Bar/lounge extremely comfortable. Menu excellent as was the food. Bedrooms were clean with comfy beds and a fabulous shower. All staff were very friendly,y and efficient.

We came to meet up with family at the Lost Gardens of Heligan, just for the day, which were wonderful. We did not visit the beach or any other facility. We returned to our holiday destination in North Devon the same day.

St Austell is a great base to explore Cornwall.
St Austell is a great base to explore Cornwall. The town isn't fantastic, but it's 5 minutes from the Eden Project, also 5 minutes to Charlestown , an historic and interesting harbour, Mevagissey is very near, and it's near to several beaches.

We walked to Carlyon Bay for a beach day and found places to eat close by in Charlestown and Mevagissey. The hotel is stylish and welcoming with a choice of places to relax indoor and outdoors.
